Bovis Homes, part of the newly-formed Vistry Group, has shown its support for the Abbey Medical Practice on Irthlingborough Road in Wellingborough, by supplying much-needed face masks.
The housebuilder’s Northern Home Counties region was contacted by a GP at the practice, which is just minutes from Bovis Homes’ Wendelburie Rise location at Stanton Cross, and has provided FFP3 face masks for the medical team who are assessing local Coronavirus patients.
Regional Customer Care Director, Sandra Washbrook, was made aware of the request and asked Commercial Director, Mike Darcy, to put a call out to all suppliers and contractors.
Sandra explains: “We are all aware of how crucially important it is for healthcare workers to have adequate PPE supplies, so when we received an email from Abbey Medical Practice, we were keen to do whatever we could to help.
“We got in touch with all of our suppliers and contractors across the region and fortunately, Jim Brennan at Nova Plasterboard Systems was able to promptly provide two boxes of the required FFP3 face masks – 10 in total. We’re very grateful for Jim’s support. From the responses we received, we know many other contractors have also donated any spare PPE to local key workers and by working together to do the right thing, we will all help to keep our healthcare professionals safe during these challenging times.”
