Stanton Cross gives helping hand to local families with latest award

New charity initiative Little Blessings has been awarded £1000 from a community fund set up by Stanton Cross house builder Bovis Homes.

The Little Blessings project, run by Compass Church, is the fifth recipient of the Stanton Cross Community Award, and will use the donation to support its work helping families in need in Wellingborough, regardless of background, faith or financial circumstances.

The award of £1,000 will help Little Blessings to fund ‘Giveaway Days’, at which new and nearly new baby clothes are donated to local families. The next of these events take place on Saturday 23rd September and Saturday 18th November at the Tithe Barn in Wellingborough town centre.

Paul Soutar, Bovis Homes Divisional Operations Director, responsible for Stanton Cross said:

“We are delighted to award Little Blessings with £1,000 from the Stanton Cross Community Fund.

The donation will provide a welcome boost to this new charity which is already doing fantastic work to help local families in Wellingborough. We are extremely proud to support Little Blessings and wish them every success.”

Anna Willey at Little Blessings added:

“The team at Little Blessings are so pleased to be the recipients of the Stanton Cross Community Award. This will make such a big difference to the charity and the families in Wellingborough who benefit from our services.

We are very thankful to Bovis Homes for their generosity and for recognising the work we do in the local community.”

The Stanton Cross Community Award makes a quarterly donation of £1,000 to local charities and community groups. The fund was set up in 2016 by Bovis Homes to provide much needed funding for Wellingborough’s most deserving community projects transforming the area.
